The drive up to Calabogie from Ottawa is very straight forward.

If you are setting a GPS the hotel address is 30 Barrett Chute Road, Calabogie, or Kim & Joey’s cottage 1022 Beachs Lane, Calabogie. (GPS might be looking for Greater Madawaska for the city instead of Calabogie.)

Leaving Ottawa you take the Queensway West (417 West) you will go past Kanata towards Arnprior it will take about 40 minutes to reach Arnprior.   This is a great place to stop for a snack or your last Tim Horton’s coffee until Sunday!  As you pass Arnprior the 4 lanes will end, once you are down to 2 lanes it’s only about 3 minutes and you will need to turn left onto Hwy 508 or Calabogie road.   You are now about 24 minutes from Calabogie.  Stay on Hwy 508, you will come to a full stop in Burnstown, just stay  Hwy 508 you are now 15 minutes from Calabogie.  You will be driving along the Madawaska River which is beautiful!  The road has a few turns in it and at dusk really watch for deer.

If you are going to Barnet Cottage directly then it’s on your left and it’s just past Mill street if you see Jocko’s Resort….you have gone too far!

If you are going to the hotel at the ski hill just keep driving until you see Barrett Chute road you will be turning left.
